We at the Loving Fungi are in service of the highest good of all, and we do this work with the understanding that we are all deeply connected.
We combine the intelligence of our bodies with the intelligence of plants and mushrooms to create an alchemical technology that serves the entirety of our beings - physical, emotional, mental and astral.
We do all of this in the pursuit of harmony and balance within the individual, and therefore within the collective. The harmony created within the individual radiates out into the community, as there is no disconnect within this mycelial network of consciousness. We create from a place of love, so that you may simply experience love when you work with our offerings.
We are re-learning what medicine really is, together. These products are created through a lens of immense research, but more importantly, through deep listening - listening to our bodies, our community and to our plant allies. We are in the time of a grand remembrance, and this work is our way to help our fellow beings come back home.

Our Foundations
Sourcing Philosophy
Many years ago, sourcing began in deep forests of the Pacific Northwest, far away from contaminants and noise of the modern world. We understand that elements procured from such environments hold the most life force and vitality. Creating foods and medicines from these elements connect us to these pure landscapes and energies. This way of sourcing and creating has only evolved and elevated as we have grown. As with the seasons, some things are available at certain times in abundance and not in others. Within this ebb and flow of nature, we supplement our sourcing with organically grown plants and fungi from our most trusted partners.
Another important thing to note is that we only use the fruiting bodies of fungi as we believe that that is where the most potent form of medicine exists in the mushroom realm.
We hold ourselves to high standards as we continue to investigate, learn and shift as we find new information and the purest elements to put in all of our magical creations.

Not all mushroom products are created equal — and we think you deserve to know the difference.
The real medicine lives in the fruiting body. This is the part of the mushroom that contains the full spectrum of active compounds — the beta-glucans, triterpenes, and bioavailable constituents that make medicinal mushrooms so powerful. Many products on the market use mycelium grown on grain, which is significantly diluted in both potency and efficacy. We don’t cut that corner.
Transforming a fruiting body into a soluble extract, whether in powder or liquid form, is a process that demands time, precision, and genuine investment. It requires drawing out the full therapeutic potential of the mushroom while preserving its integrity every step of the way. It’s not the easiest or most cost-effective path, but it’s the right one.

We only use glass and compostable materials across our entire product line, and that’s a commitment we take seriously.
Plastic packaging isn’t just an environmental concern; it’s a health one. Many conventional plastics contain hormone-disrupting chemicals that can leach directly into the products they hold, undermining the very wellness intentions behind them. We refuse to let that be the case with our medicines.
After extensive research, we’ve carefully selected packaging solutions that protect both you and the planet. Glass preserves the purity and potency of our formulas without interference, while our compostable bags return to the earth cleanly, leaving nothing harmful behind.

Willis
Founder & Head Alchemist
About
The heart and founder of The Loving Fungi, Willis, has been on a relentless quest to find the truth behind how our bodies work and interact with the intelligence of plants and fungi. This has led him to stepping into his role as alchemist-serving humanity through the pursuit of health in everything he creates. He yearns to share this developed wisdom. He has realized that in order to help as many people as he can he must know the pain and joy of the world, for one cannot teach what one does not know inherently through direct lived experience.
The Loving Fungi was born through this passion, curiosity and devotion. As a self proclaimed mushroom wizard, he has dedicated his life to the re-education & healing of our local community in Bend, and at large. Through a lifetime of adventure in the physical, emotional, mental and spiritual realms he has channeled and built an ideal for optimized human living-Willis shares these ideals through every formula he’s crafted, in community forums and in one in one consultations/sessions with clients.
Willis is one of the many wild things you’ll find thriving in the woods-you’ll know him by his heart on his sleeve dedication to remind us all that love is the source and force that permeates all things and binds us together as one human family. The forest is one of his greatest teachers. When not alchemizing in his workshop, he can be found in his happiest of places deep in the mossy woods of the Pacific Northwest, playing in streams, looking under rocks and foraging for fungi. The forest is his heartbeat and song-he’ll likely be skipping and singing along. Dance and music are the pulse of his being, so you will also also find him where the music is playing, moving his body as part of the composition.
Find him at home playing in the multitude of outdoor recreations in and around Bend, Oregon. Find him abroad loving and appreciating the beauty woven into all forms of art and life, which keeps him traveling and choosing the expansion of his being. Willis truly loves his community at home and abroad, and is honored to work with every beautiful soul he comes into contact with.
Matt
Head of Sales & Operations
About
Matt is a self-proclaimed gnome, and enjoys swimming through life in the most Piscean manner. At the Loving Fungi, he’s focused on sharing our vision and products with wholesale partners, while also supporting our marketing, operations and finance team. Matt had a long career in the tech space, and realized that his dream was to help fellow souls find a little healing along the way. So, he made that dream a reality in collaboration with his dearest friends at TLF.
In his free time, you can find Matt building fairy houses with his daughter or frolicking in the forest with his canine soul mate. Some of his greatest joys in life are watching his daughter grow and learn, getting lost in dance and finding ways to surrender more and more to the heart.
Carmen
Production Manager & Sweetie Pie
About
Carmen is the hands behind the magic at The Loving Fungi, tending to the full production process from raw plant to finished product. She crafts tinctures, tea blends, drink powders, capsules, and oils, and sends each order out the door with care.
Outside of work, you’ll usually find her somewhere in the wild. Hiking, climbing rocks or trees, or moving her body through yoga and acro. She’s deeply devoted to her yoga practice and has a natural curiosity for plants and the ways they support the body’s ability to heal.
Sofia
Head of Community Relations
About
With a background in experiential marketing, Sofia now channels her creativity and passions into nourishing the community. Rooted in a lifelong devotion to herbalism, she brings an inquisitive, discerning, and integrative approach to wellness. Currently studying Transpersonal Mental Health Counseling, she weaves somatic awareness and heart centered connection into her work, guiding others to reconnect with their innate capacity to heal emotionally, spiritually, and physically.
She also runs a farm-to-table postpartum meal service that supports families through their sacred journey. For Sofia, healing is both a personal path and a communal prayer.

Lisa holds a degree in Business Administration and Finance and spent five years in residential training at a Zen Buddhist Monastery — an experience that reshaped how she thinks about work, service, and what it means to build something that matters.
Through her business, Gentle Leaps Consulting & Design, she works with values-driven businesses doing beneficial work in the world, offering consulting, web design, and marketing support. The Loving Fungi is exactly the kind of partner she's here for.
