So you've got some Lions Mane powder - now what do you do with it?
Here's how I use it:
Due to its mild, slightly savory flavor, I've found many ways to incorporate it into my daily life.
Lion's Mane in Your Morning Coffee, Tea & Matcha
In the morning its an easy mix to add 1/2 to 1.5 teaspoons to my coffee, tea, chai or matcha. I've also used it on its own with some hot water and a little milk & honey to taste - It can be a very enjoyable drink on its own, and blends easily into other beverages with only a slight change in flavor.
Lion's Mane for Pre-Workout & Smoothies
I have used it in my pre-workout drink by shaking it up in water, and also in smoothies.
Cooking with Lion's Mane: Savory Dishes & Umami Flavor
With its slightly savory flavor, I have had great success with adding it to dinner dishes. Simply add at the last minutes to a soup or broth to add some umami flavor or to seafood dishes, scrambled eggs, veggies and mashed potatoes. Fats can be a good delivery vehicle for this fungi - so adding it to a spoonful of ghee on toast or directly in your mouth can be a fun.
Lion's Mane in Snacks: Nut Butters & Energy Balls
Finally - you can stir into nut butters or add to a fun energy ball with dates and cacao.
